Artist's Comments

Another practice run with the ole pencil. This was done in a small gamer's store with a bunch of creepy dudes playing DnD at their tables, and my being introduced to some friends of a friend. Our table top game was way more cool...

The girl's rather stiff pose was taken from a fashion magazine in my bag, and it was rendered with a mechanical pencil.

Nice work! I do all my pencil stuff with a mechanical one as well and people look at me like I am crazy lol always to see I am not the only one! :D

Yeah man, I freakin' love mechanical pencils. I dunno, there's something so clean and precise about them...guess I'm just an art nerd. XD

Mechanical pencils all the way. I can't remember the last time I used a "natural" pencil to draw.

You already mentioned the stiffness of the pose, but I must admit, I really like the effect of the dripping blood. The shadow invokes many questions as to the story behind but also reminds us to stay away from such beings in dark alleys.

Thanks! Yeah, my love for mechanical thin pencil lead knows no bounds...it's deep and as powerful as the sea~!

Thanks for the feedback. =D <3

I really want to get around to drawing that comic series I wanted to attempt. My track record isn't so hot though, but I just love that creepy surreal stuff... =/ (Maybe once the craziness of my life dies down.)

I understand what you mean, haha. I have far too many stories and series that I have yet to get down. Outside circumstances are the bane of the artists' ambitions. XD Good luck!
